Exciting Changes for Hillcrest Shoppers

Lillies Quarter’s much anticipated upgrades are finally on the go, promising to give this popular centre a brand-new look and an even better customer experience

Lillies Quarter is conveniently situated in the heart of Hillcrest and offers a diverse shopping experience currently consisting of 34 retail tenants and 11 office tenants. The strength of its location along with its broad tenant mix and secure parking, have helped establish the centre as a firm favourite for many Hillcrest residents when it comes to quality and convenience shopping. Among other advantages, Lillies Quarter offers the best trading Woolworths per square metre in KZN, a Clicks with a full clinic offering and pharmacy, a host of enticing restaurants and a broad range of retail options for the whole family.

Upgrades to the centre started in February this year and although original intentions for the project were smaller, the upgrade has morphed into a much larger and more power-packed project, progressing far beyond superficial changes. This includes the additions of lifts into the buildings, which will allow easier access to the first floor restaurants for both young and old. A multi-storey car park will create more parking, and links between the blocks is set to facilitate customer flow and connectivity. The popular restaurants at Lillies Quarter are going to expand and offer a better outside dining experience with the formalisation of their existing balconies – allowing dining to occur alfresco whatever the weather.

Lillies Quarter is also excited to share the expansion of its Woolworths Food store by over 200m² – where its own very popular coffee shop is part of the package. Another exciting addition is the inclusion of Melissa’s Food Home and Gifts, which is scheduled to open for trade in August.

While this exciting upgrade takes place, loyal customers can be assured it will be business as usual at Lillies Quarter. The centre has for many years been the go-to place for whatever lifestyle, grocery, gift, crafting or health items you could possibly need, or to simply enjoy a meal at one of the restaurants. The project team has worked very hard to plan the build around the on-going daily operations. This means that while the community continue to enjoy what the centre already has to offer, work will take place behind the scenes to add that extra dimension to the popular shopping venue that customers have come to love
