“Since the opening night, there has been a strong show of support from the people of Durban,” said Lizzie Coles, the show’s Executive Producer.

“We want more people to be touched by the magic and extravaganza of a world-class circus. Hence, we encourage you to take full advantage of this limited offer.

“People from all walks of life and all age groups have been sharing their experiences. It is clear that the circus is still one of the most-loved forms of entertainment. Our artists thrive on what they do – often putting their lives at risk – to present a show you will never forget.”

The Great Moscow Circus artists hail from afar as Russia, Cuba, Ukraine, Belarus, Canada, Brazil, Colombia, USA and Mexico.

An array of spectacular performances from over 50 circus mega-stars are guaranteed to thrill audiences. The line-up includes the funniest clowns, the most-daring acrobats, death-defying daredevils, balancers and much more.

Pinetown resident Neo Mohale, 23, said: “I had a fantastic time at the opening night. It was my first experience at the circus and I did not expect to see such incredible performances.

“I was blown away by a nail biting performance with The Globe of Death and thoroughly enjoyed the colourful and extremely flexible acrobats. I recommend all ages to attend this amazing show.”

Shanta Devan from Musgrave, Durban, was full of praise of her experience of the circus.

“The show was thoroughly enjoyable and every act was unique. It was evident that the artists had trained well and their physically fit appearance gave the impression they were on a special diet. The Catwall Trampoline was undoubtedly my favourite performance.”

Fiona Visagie, a resident of Morningside, said: “I enjoyed every performance of the circus. It was a one in a million kind of show and I did not expect such spectacular performances. The Catwall Trampoline and The Ringmaster were highlights of the show for me.”

Visagie’s nine year old granddaughter, Zoe Visagie, was glued to her seat with every performance, especially The Globe of Death.

The Great Moscow Circus chooses not to use live animals in its performances.
