Grease is the word: Don’t miss a free outdoor screening of the iconic movie ‘Grease’ at Crusaders on Saturday 28 April. Gates open at 5.30pm and entrance is free.

On Saturday 28 April, Northwood Crusaders Sports Club will host its second outdoor movie night on the main fields, with a free screening of ‘Grease’.

An iconic movie, ‘Grease’ was released in 1978 and is one of the biggest-selling movie musicals of all time, depicting the lives of two high school seniors: a bad boy (played by John Travolta) and a good girl (played by Olivia Newton-John).

Expect loads of fun for the whole family, with entertainment for the kids, food and drink stalls, bar facilities, as well as live music.  Bring chairs and picnic blankets and settle in for a trip down memory lane and a great night out!

“There were a few technical issues at the first event, which is why we’re making attendance free at the next Movie Under The Stars”, says Crusaders Chairman Barry Brown.  “We’ve also sourced a top-of-the-range screen, sound and projection system, guaranteed to make this a night to remember.”

According to Brown, these open-air movie nights are set to become a monthly event, geared towards bringing the local community together in a fun, safe and family-friendly environment, while helping to raise funds for the sporting sections at the club.

Gates open at 5.30pm and the movie starts at 7pm.  Unfortunately, no food, alcohol or pets may be brought onto the premises.

Crusaders is at 10 Ranleigh Crescent at the bottom of Swapo Road/Broadway in Durban North.  For more information, call 031 564 4621.
