With 6 months to go until the doors of Pearl Walk are officially opened, 96% of the high-end boutique mall is already tenanted. Fulfilling the role as Umhlanga’s first boutique shopping mall, Pearl Walk has generated demand from some of the country’s biggest brands as they vie to become part of the much-acclaimed Pearl Sky development, which has achieved national attention. Situated within the already established The Pearls of Umhlanga, Pearl Walk is set to open its doors in November this year.

“The response to Pearl Walk has been extremely positive. At this stage there are only 3 small retail stores and 1 restaurant space still available,” explains Neil Cocker, Leasing Agent at Pearl Walk.

He continues, “Food Lovers Market has been confirmed as the anchor tenant, and to complement the exclusivity of the mall this will be the flagship store with a new-look contemporary design”.

Other retailers that have confirmed their occupancy include Levisons, Tititi Boutique, Planet Fitness, and Platinum Jewellers, as well as Lupa and Boost Juice Bar to name but a few. “From select beauty outlets and restaurants, to food stores and a fitness centre, Pearl Walk is bound to excite shoppers with many brands being a first in KwaZulu Natal,” confirms Cocker.

Forming part of Pearl Sky, the fifth and final phase of The Pearls of Umhlanga, Pearl Walk will not only offer residents of the resort unlimited access to a host of additional amenities on its doorstep, but will also add value to residents of Umhlanga as well as the thousands of tourists who flock to the village annually.

“The opening of Pearl Walk will undoubtedly be a major boost for the Umhlanga area as a whole. Whilst this area unarguably offers the best in terms of its seaside location and upscale residential developments, there is nothing like Pearl Walk. Umhlanga is considered one of the most affluent areas in the country, and the opening of a boutique mall of this calibre is definitely long overdue,” confirms Sudhir Pragjee, Director of The Pearls of Umhlanga Development.

He continues, “Pearl Walk will offer both residents and customers high-end products and services that one would normally find in a regional mall, but in a smaller, more exclusive setting. Pearl Walk, like The Pearls of Umhlanga, will be upmarket, visually appealing and an overarching asset to the area,” ends Pragjee.
