Durban-based Rainmaker Marketing is officially the best property marketing agency in South Africa.

This was announced at the coveted International Property Awards gala event in Dubai last week, and was earned as a result of the innovative marketing campaign conceptualised and implemented for the iconic Umhlanga Arch development.

Through its unconventional approach to marketing, 90% of the residential opportunities within Umhlanga Arch were sold without the need for a public release.

Director of Rainmaker Marketing, Stefan Botha, explains, “The marketing of Umhlanga Arch was an extension of the ground-breaking product that was visualised by the development team from the Multiply Group. The developers had a clear vision of fusing together the most innovative development and lifestyle trends from around the world, which in-turn gave us the freedom to conceptualise and implement a marketing strategy that utilised a number of elements that have not been seen within the South African property market to date”.

With entries from both Africa and Arabia, a panel of 80 international judges selected a shortlist within each category, and Rainmaker Marketing was awarded the ‘Best Development Marketing in South Africa’. By achieving the first-class score on their submission, they will represent South Africa at the World Awards, which will take place in the UK during December. “This now gives us the opportunity to challenge other 5-star award winners on the continent for the coveted title of the ‘Best Development Marketing in Africa’,” confirms Botha.

This monumental achievement comes off the back of the company recently celebrating 5 short years in the property development marketing industry. “With a team of experts in their respected fields, our objective has always been to revolutionise development marketing within Southern Africa and we are extremely proud of this milestone” says Botha.
